LifeVault Junior

The educational digital piggy bank

Spend, save, give: kids learn money by using it.

LifeVault Junior gives your child a place of their own for pocket money, gifts from grandparents and first purchases. Every bit of money they receive is split into three jars, and together you see where it goes and how close the goal is. You manage it from your own LifeVault.

Three jars

50%

Spend

For everyday things: snacks, stickers, going out with friends. Purchases are paid from here unless you pick another jar.

40%

Save

For a goal that takes patience, like a new bike. The goal bar grows with every allowance.

10%

Give

A small part for others: a present, a school fundraiser, a cause you choose together.

When you record money received, LifeVault suggests a 50/40/10 split: you can change the amounts every time, and nothing is saved until you confirm.

How it works

Create your child's vault

In Family → Add person choose "Also create their own vault", then turn on the three jars from their view.

Record what they receive

Allowance, gifts, tips: enter the amount and confirm the suggested split. Record spending as it happens.

Look at it together

The simple view shows the jars, the balance, what came in and went out this month, the goal and the latest transactions.

What they learn

  • That money runs out: spend it all today and the jar is empty tomorrow.
  • To wait: a goal reached with their own savings is worth more than a gift.
  • To think of others: giving becomes a habit, not an exception.
  • To keep track: they see for themselves where money comes from and where it goes.

Your child's privacy

  • Everything is encrypted on your device, like the rest of LifeVault: our server can read neither the transactions nor your child's name.

  • Until 14 your child has no email, password or profile: you manage their vault. From 14, if you like, you invite them to have their own access, with their own password and the role you choose.

  • No link to banks or cards: it's your household's real money, and you record it.

Good to know

  • It is not a bank account or a prepaid card: it doesn't move money, it keeps track of the money they have.
  • Until 14 (16 in some countries, such as Germany and the Netherlands) their view opens from your LifeVault. From that age you can invite them from Family: they sign in on their own phone with their email and password.
  • Pocket money sent as a transfer from your vault lands in a single jar: to split it, record it as money received.
